TMOD

 Greetings

Good evening / Morning / afternoon President, fellow toastmasters, and special honoured guests.

It is my privilege and pleasure to welcome you all to

JPMC Toastmasters Club, Singapore for the JPMorgan 79th club Meeting.

Newcomers

I would also like to extend the welcome to newcomers who are here to join us today.

Toastmaster exco team.

I would also extend my thanks to the JPMorgan toastmaster exco team for giving me the opportunity

Well, I would like to start the day with today’s theme.

Stay smart, play your part.

Everyone’s talking AI.
You’re still fixing merge conflicts.
Panic? Nah.

Stay smart. Play your part.

“I’m not an AI expert—but I refused to be an AI outsider.”

I have been a software engineer for 10 years. Dependable. Focused. Not flashy. Not one of those "thought leaders."

But then came AI.

Suddenly, everyone was talking about ChatGPT, vector databases, embeddings, agents, copilots.

Jay felt lost. But instead of freezing, he whispered to himself:
“Stay smart. Play your part.”

I started with what he knew: logic, code, problem-solving.
Added what he was curious about: prompt design, NLP basics.

He became the "AI person" in his circle—not because he knew everything, but because he started learning before it was too late.

So no, you don’t have to reinvent yourself.

Just upgrade your instincts.

Stay smart. Play your part. The future isn’t waiting.

The AI trend is real—and yes, there’s room for you.
